The Builder Suite, products for the professional financial advisor, continues to grow and improve. The initial transformation of PracticeBuilder, formerly Ed Morrow’s Text Library System, is nearly complete.  The next downloadable update will include the new Action Date function and the Annual Update published on CD in June will change file designations and the like to complete the transformation.

This, despite the fact that all of us here are struggling to adopt our new vocabulary.  We start to say Text Li… catch ourselves mid-word and change to Practice Builder. Don’t worry if you are having similar problems – we will always recognize TLS and know what you mean.  Remember that our goal of the new brand identity was a more accurate reflection of the system capabilities – and we’re already seeing improvement among our professional financial advisor prospects. 

PlanBuilder, the evolution of EnterAct, LGX and LifeGoals Financial Planning Systems, is also nearing completion.  The release of Version 3.5 is imminent.  Current users of Plan Builder will be pleased to discover the enhancement of the Financial Notebook along with the tax and database updates.

ClientBuilder, is still in development but will be available soon.  This professionally developed, PowerPoint presentation will enable you to present your services to prospects in the most favorable light.  Customization for your own individual practice profile will also be available.

Laser App:  If you haven’t taken the time to check out the ca pabilities of combining Laser App with Practice Builder check the following quote from a user in Arizona:

“I have just competed more than $538,000 worth of applications from a number of different providers.  All but one of the these companies have provided forms that work easily with Laser App and Practice Builder and I believe all will soon make their forms available.

My typical scenario is 6 applications with each one having 7 pages that require redundant population of name, address, social, etc.  I used to set aside over four hours for these applications, but not any more!  Now I’ll be able to use that time to make more money!"

User Workshops

User Workshops: Feedback from Practice Builder and Plan Builder Users who have attended these workshops has been outstanding.  David and Mark, who have been conducting these workshops, say that everyone leaves with ideas and techniques not only from the workshop content but from the interaction with other users as well.  Here is the schedule for the next user workshops:

Practice Builder Referral Program

At Financial Planning Consultants we are using digital cameras more and more and having lots of fun doing it, too. We thought you might like to share the enjoyment and see some of the great results that you can achieve. So we have purchased a bundle of 3 mega-pixel, name brand, digital cameras and we are going to give them away! 

 

If you don’t know anything about digital cameras, that’s OK.  These are easy to use - just point and shoot - and good enough to print even 8” x 10” prints. You should have one of these dedicated for use in your practice and another just to carry with you. 

 

You will be surprised how flattered your clients are when you ask for their photo and tell them you are going to keep a copy in your records. Once you have the image our Technical Support team will help you import it into Practice Builder so it’s available with a single mouse click. 

Then start using the camera for snapshots to include in newsletters, emails or any other published material. Even a small photo attached to any article will guarantee more readers.    

So how can you get yours? We are giving one of these digital cameras to the referrer of every advisor that buys Practice Builder or Plan Builder between now and the Annual Update in June 2005.  To get yours just complete the Financial Software Referral Form.  We’ll then contact the advisors you nominate and volunteer to show them the ways they too can use these powerful software systems. 

 

When any advisor you have nominated buys either system we’ll send you your new camera.
