Details of November 1, 2006 Update (Version 06.11.01)

  • Includes the 2006 version of the Year End Planning memo article (IT_79).

This issue caused associated appointments to be displayed within Microsoft Outlook, if synchronized, as spanning days instead of remaining within the actual day.

Details of October 3, 2006 Update (Version 06.10.03)

  • Enhanced the Filter by Advisor option of the Client/Prospect Restrictions section of Manage User Security to allow specifying if advisor edits are to be allowed within the Firm Information area.
  • Enhanced Global Processing to include a selection based on Country.
  • Issues with the Outlook Synchronization duplicating entries when synchronizing only to Outlook with a contact having a space at the end of their home or business address have been corrected.
  • Issues with being able to enter a space, which creates errors within Action Dates, within the Date Done column of the Action Dates dialog have been corrected.
  • Issues with duplicate checking in the Full Name dialog not working when comparing against entries that were imported have been corrected.
  • Issues with user defined tab names in the Adobe Acrobat PDFs Module not being correctly referenced to the corresponding tab selection of the Adobe tab in Document Maintenance have been corrected.

Details of September 5, 2006 Update (Version 06.09.05)

  • Added the default birthday letter template, birthday.dot, to the Template Maintenance dialog.
  • Enhanced the Find dialog, available from Edit – Find, to include searching based on Business City, Business State, and/or Business Country.
  • Enhanced the Find dialog, available from Edit – Find, to include searching based on Home City, Home State, and/or Home Country.
  • Enhanced the Practice Builder Update to prompt for replacement of the Appointment Information Summary template, ApptInfo.rtf, if one is included with the update having a different date and time.
  • Added the Automated Image Manager (AIM), available by purchase, to acquire images from any TWAIN compliant device and save them as a JPG or PDF.
  • Added integration with the AIM to the Adobe tab of the Document Maintenance module to acquire images as PDFs for inclusion in the Adobe Acrobat PDFs module and associated areas. PDFs created through Document Maintenance are editable.
  • Added integration with the AIM to the Client/Prospect Activity Summary for acquiring images as either JPGs or PDFs directly to the associated client’s/prospect’s documents folder. PDFs created through the Client/Prospect Activity Summary are not editable.
  • Added integration with the AIM to the Add/View Photo area of the Client/Prospect screen for acquiring images as JPGs.
  • Added the Appointment Information Summary template, ApptInfo.rtf, to the Template Maintenance dialog.

  • Issues with articles being included as an attachment without corresponding graphics, instead of included in the body of an e-mail with corresponding graphics, when sent through Microsoft Outlook during the rerunning of marketing have been corrected.
  • Issues with having a current filter active and the results of a Postal/ZIP Code Range search in Global Processing including clients/prospects outside the active filter, but having the Secondary Residence Postal/ZIP Code or the Business Postal/ZIP Code within the search criteria have been corrected.
  • Issues with Delete in the Adobe tab of the Document Maintenance dialog not removing the actual document have been corrected.
  • Issues with a start date earlier than the end date being recognized as later than the end date when specifying the date range for the Compliance Correspondence Reporting Form, available from File – Print – Compliance Correspondence Reporting Form, have been corrected.
  • Issues with Today’s Date on the Compliance Correspondence Reporting Form not correctly referencing the actual date have been corrected.
  • Issues with unexpected conditions when selecting Cancel on the Full Name dialog from the Spouse/Other tab of the Client/Prospect screen for a client/prospect without a spouse have been corrected.
  • Issues with unexpected conditions, on some computers, when using Copy Sequence from the Marketing Module have been corrected.
  • Issues with errors when using the Insert File Name picture button on the Practice Builder Financial toolbar that is displayed within Microsoft Word, on some computers, after a document merge to insert the path and file name of the document have been corrected.
  • Issues with the recommended access key for File – Exit not being used have been corrected. Previously, the assignment was “e” since File – Export had the assignment of “x”. Those two assignments have been reversed.
  • Issues with the Outlook Synchronization duplicating entries with various data oddities have been worked on.
  • Issues with an error in the Outlook Synchronization during the analysis of tasks and appointments have been corrected.
  • Issues with the Outlook Synchronization displaying incorrect numbers during the analysis of tasks and appointments have been corrected.
  • Issues with the filter not being saved as part of the Client/Prospect Restrictions when adding a new user with a filter from Manage User Security have been corrected.
  • Includes all program fixes and enhancements from previous updates.
